How does CAS help?
Selection
CAS will assist you with the selection of your international adoption program. Our knowledgeable intake staff and program coordinators will offer answers and support during this process. Learn more about our International Programs.
Preparation
CAS provides Homestudy Services in NC, NJ, SC, and VA. If you live outside of our homestudy service states, we will help and direct you to work with one of our partner agencies across the country. Education
The more you know and understand, the more comfortable the adoption process will be. CAS requires 30 hours of pre-adoption education to prepare you for this wonderful event. Learn more about our Educational Services.
Guidance
CAS will guide you and your family through your adoption, including assistance with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), preparation of legal documents (dossier), referral consultation, and travel planning and preparation. Support
Our services do not end once you return home with your child. CAS will assist you with your post adoption reports, re-finalization, and will be a support for you when you return and for the years following.
CAS provides many opportunities to celebrate your child’s culture with events throughout the year. These events provide excellent opportunities to make friends with other families who share your experience of adoption. All of the CAS children come from unique and special cultures with wonderful traditions. Our events provide a means to celebrate with others and support continued projects for the children in those countries.
Aid
CAS speaks for the many voiceless children in overseas orphanages, hospitals, and the ones who are in desperate situations. Needy children in Eastern Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa depend upon donations by you to provide a brighter future. This difference in their future happens through adoption or supporting one of our programs that improves the quality of their lives.
